Emergency Exit Lights and Sign Inspection and Testing
Emergency and exit lights are required to stay on for 90 minutes in the event of a power outage to allow sufficient time for safe exit from the building. Protect your customers and employees by having your emergency and exit lighting serviced on a regular basis.

Annual Inspection & Testing of Emergency Exit Lighting, Signs and Inverter Systems

Our technician will:

  • Inspect and load test each unit with a meter to verify that the battery is being properly charged, we will then discharge the unit, exercising the battery to determine it will operate for the code requirement of 90 minutes
  • If the unit is functioning properly, a tag will be affixed indicating the date the unit was serviced

In most cases the next inspection is due one year from the service date. However, some exceptions include nursing homes, hospitals, movie theaters etc, which may require semi-annual or quarterly inspections.
